A meeting was held at our request with management , which was attended by Nick de Bois, Adele Panayi, Theordora Koumbas and Christine Jones. This was in response to the public pressure from the campaign.

As reported in the Enfield Independent, the meeting was less than successful. We were met with a brick wall and were left wondering why Mr Ramsey had called the meeting in the first place. This has not deterred us from continuing with this campaign. Clearly more pressure is needed and the needs to come from you – the commuters.

The good news is that National Express the new train operator seem to be much more agreeable to working with us and we look forward to progressing matters with them.

At the meeting we tried to discuss:

1. A semi-fast service into Liverpool Street during rush hour;

2. More eight carriage trains during rush hour to alleviate congestion on the trains;

3. More rush hour trains;

4. An assurance that the service is reliable and not subjected to consistent delays and cancellations.

We deserve to have a reliable and comfortable journey that gets us to work on time. Recent weeks have seen consistent delays on both the morning and evening rush hour trains. Please keep sending in your complaints.
